Maintenance page

Below you can see the maintenance activities we have planned. If you see something that need fixing, please report this to the Maintenance Coordinator (see contacts page). If you would like to see improvements in the village, you will need to prepare a 1-pager proposal which lists who will benefit, approximate cost of implementation, ongoing maintenance etc. The Maintenance Coordinator will advise how you can do this. Once complete the proposal will need to be evaluated and approved at the next Parish meeting.

Jobs we need to do every year:

January - March 
  • Annual PAT testing
  • Annual Fire extinguisher testing
  • Village annual walk around inspection 
  • Brief landscaping contractor 
  • Village litter pick & general tidy up
  • Inspection of dykes
April - June
  • Village Hall annual boiler service & gas safety check
  • Defibrillator maintenance service
  • Jet wash playground & benches 
  • Tidy up flower bed at rear of hall
  • Playground external annual inspection
  • Repair bus stop side window frame window & guttering
  • Review asset register & renew Insurance
July - September
  • Tidy up flower bed at rear of hall
October - December
  • Inspection of dykes
  • Replace smoke detectors (due 2030)
  • Fuse box 5 yearly test (due 2030)
